New to this tribe and.......

.......I've never actually played Sims. Everytime I go to Target I see it but not sure which one would be good to start with? I went on Amazon and they have tons of Sims for sale. Can anyone reccommend a good one to start with? There is one where you can build your own city. There's one where you build roller coasters. They all look fun but I have no idea which one I might like best and since money is tight I want to get the best one. Do you guys have favorites you'd reccommend?

    It all depends on what turns you on. If you're into building things and city management, then SimCity 4 is probably your best bet, If you're more into personal relationships, then The Sims2 would be your game. Or you could start on the smaller sim games such as the rollercoaster.
    Personally, I prefer The Sims2. There is no real end to the game, no winning involved. It has endless possibilities, lots of expansion packs(my budget is tight too, but I can always scrape up enough for the latest ep) and endless custom content you can download from various sites.
