Just curious since we brought it up in the other thread, does anyone here play legacy challenges?
Here are the rules:

I don't keep the scorecard, points drive me nuts. But sometimes I like to have a list of handicaps and rules, with a goal in mind, it limits certain cheats and adds a new level of challenge to the game.

Re: Do you Legacy?
Tue, October 30, 2007 - 8:13 PMI'm not certain I'd ever try a legacy game. Maybe when I get my issues all straightened out and can play again the right way. But, having read over all of that, I did get a few ideas in general that I'd like to make my sims try. Hmmm.......I haven't played in a couple of months, maybe I will give it a go tonight.

Wed, October 31, 2007 - 12:41 PMWow, I've never tried this! It does sound hella complicated...but still intriguing....
I do like to do the Challenges on The Sims Resource, though. Simpler, but still fun! www.thesimsresource.com/challenges/

Fri, November 2, 2007 - 10:53 AMWow, thanks for the challenge resources, I'm going to install that now! I like the idea that they score and tally for you, too. Have you done a lot of challenges from this site? -

Re: Do you Legacy?
Mon, November 5, 2007 - 6:52 AMYeah, I've done maybe 4 or 5 challenges, I think? I started with the very first one, down at the bottom of the list, just to get a feel for it. They've all been great fun so far, and it's nice to have the forum to go to, if you get stuck or just want to share your stories about what's going on and how you're getting through the challenge.
For instance, the Open For Business challenge (forget its exact name), I never could finish, which is really disappointing, but at least when I went into the forum and found a discussion about it, I saw that other people had the same issues I did; it was really just a matter of luck, I guess, whether you got a reporter to come and review your business favorably right away or whether it took FIVE MILLION YEARS SO YOU FINALLY GAVE UP EVEN THOUGH YOU HATED TO.
But it was still fun, even if it was frustrating. ; )
It's also nice to be kind of "forced" to experience things in the game that you might not otherwise, just based on what the challenge requires of you.
